BANANA RASPBERRY OATMEAL PORRIDGE
There’s something so comforting about a warm bowl of oatmeal. One of the most versatile, quick, and nourishing breakfasts, oatmeal porridge works well with whatever toppings you have on hand!
Oats are an excellent source of wholegrain nutrition. Combined with a handful of fruits and seeds, this is a nutrient dense, quick and easy to prepare breakfast for the busy mum lifestyle! Some breastfeeding women even attribute oats to an increase in milk supply!
1/2 cup oats (rolled or quick)
250ml milk of choice
1tsp honey or maple syrup
1tbs flaxseed meal
1 small banana
1tbs sunflower seeds
1tbs pumpkin seeds
Cook oats with 200ml of chosen milk in whatever way you like (microwave for 2 minutes, or simmer gently in a saucepan until soft). Serve with remaining milk, sliced banana, raspberries and seeds. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup for added sweetness if desired!
