MOODY BERRY SMOOTHIE
A simple smoothie, packed with goodness. This purple beauty is filled with antioxidants from fresh blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries, keeping our skin glowing and our cells protected.
Smoothies are the perfect vehicle for a variety of flavours and nutrients. Try frozen cauliflower florets, or avocado for extra creaminess. Add your favourite yoghurt, whatever fruit you have, chia seeds, or frozen zucchini! The possibilities are endless!
Moody Berry Smoothie
1 cup Milk of choice (we used unsweetened almond milk)
1 cup Mixed Frozen Berries (we love blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries)
1 Banana fresh or frozen
Handful of Kale or Spinach
1 tbsp Flaxseed Meal
Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth!
Using frozen berries (or banana!) in this recipe will create a smoother, thicker, and creamier texture, but fresh works well too.
If a smoothie bowl is more to your liking, use a frozen banana as well as frozen berries (this is a great use of bananas that have gone a bit brown, just peel and put them in a container in the freezer for smoothies later). Scoop smoothie into a bowl, and top with granola, nuts, seeds, or toasted coconut.
